On February 13, 2024, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ms. Amy Pope .

 

 

 

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of relations, focusing on the implementation of projects between the Republic of Tajikistan and International Organization for Migration (IOM).

On December 1, 2023, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilkhom Abdurahmon and the head of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vusal Huseynov.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of migration.

The parties also emphasized their readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of migration, including training and exchange of experience, exchange of statistical data and participation in sectoral exercises.

 

 

 

 

Then the Ambassador acquainted with the activities of the Regional Migration Training Center under the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan.

On 2 March 2023 in Baku on the sidelines of the Summit-level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda met with the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) António Vitorino.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation and the process of implementing IOM projects in the Republic of Tajikistan. The parties also exchanged views on issues related to the regulation of labor migration, in particular the social protection of labor migrants.
